These last few weeks I have enjoyed seeing
Family & Friends
as they showered our Baby Girl with gifts.
Today marks just 2 short weeks from D-Day. Doctor says she could come anytime from here, so we are just patiently awaiting her much anticipated arrival. We feel so blessed to have so many people who love and care for us, and have helped us prepare for our Baby Girl.
First Shower- March 22nd 10-12pm
We had a shower with all the people from our ward. Our neighbors, the Braithwaite's, were also expecting a baby boy due just a week before me, so our good friend Whitney Putnam offered to throw us a double shower. We had it at my house, and Whitney made the most delicious brunch. I felt so bad though cause she worked in the kitchen most of the shower. It really turned out so nice though, she did a great job. We really have loved our ward, they have been so good to us.
Second Shower- Apr 12th 2-4pm
My good friends Heather and her mom Shauna Thompson, and Kelsey Gillespie also threw a shower for me. We invited all my Mom's family, my friends, and a lot of people from the ward I grew up in. It was at Shauna's house which is right next door to my moms. It was later in the afternoon, and we had yummy chicken salad sandwiches and snacks. Heather and her mom made the cutest diaper cake for me, and Kelsey made a little frame with paper onesies for people to write advice for me on. We also did a diaper and wipe raffle, so for every package of diapers or wipes the guests brought they got their name in the raffle. We ended up with a good stock pile of diapers and wipes to get us started!!
Third Shower- April 19th 11am
Last my step mom Julianne threw a shower for all the family on her and my Dad's side. She fed us Hawaiian Haystacks and then had an Ice Cream Sundae bar for dessert. All my Dads sisters, my cousins, and Grandparents came. We had it in the Young Women's room at the church house. It was really nice. We are really excited about a very nice point and shoot camera my dad's family got for us so we can take all kinds of nice pictures of the baby when she comes.
Now I am just trying to get all the "Thank You's" sent out before she gets here!
