1st Year of Marriage

A year feels as if it has flown by...

Jonathan and I celebrated our 1st Year Anniversary July, 16 2012.
It is crazy to think about all the things that we have done this past year, and all the MANY things we have learned.

I have come to realize marriage isn't "Happily Ever After" like the cinemas try to fool you into thinking.
It is actually a lot of work. It is two very imperfect people trying to be their best for themselves, and each other.

Jon and I love each other like crazy- but love isn't everything. I don't think marriage will ever all the sudden be "easy" or that some day we will "get the hang of it." Through this first year I have realized our marriage is something we have to be continually nourishing.

I don't mind though... My marriage to Jonathan is important enough to me that I will be nourishing it into the eternities. With allowing our Heavenly Father to be the third piece to our puzzle we can and will make this work.

But if any of you wise experienced married peeps have any advice we are open to suggestions:)

To Celebrate we stayed in the "Bear Cabin" for 2 nights in Rigby, ID at the B&B called Aspen Grove. (A graduation gift from my Dad's Family)

We went to a fun Dinner and Show full of shoot outs, music, dancing, wagon rides, and of course good food!!!

We tried our hand at fishing... Jon may need some tips from my Dad on how to put together a pole... but granted he is the only one who got a fish:)

I also surprised Jon with a adventure zip-linning down the mountain on 7 different lines. Our instructors were the biggest teases!! Especially after finding out I was nervous, but Jon even got brave enough to go down one upside down!!! One of the long lines they let us go together:) We shared a kiss while zipping through the air! He surprised me with a beaded charm bracelet I have had my eye on. I love it- It was so thoughtful of him.

Before heading home we had a nice lunch in Idaho Falls. Then of course we had to break out the year old wedding cake! Surprisingly it was still really good. We lit our 1 Year Candle and made a wish for many more.

Happy Anniversary- after a year I can't even imagine a life without you anymore:)
