We took our first little trip with Miss Z!
Over Conference Weekend life had us traveling first to Las Vegas and then back to St. George. It was a fun little trip getting to visit with family.
We started out on the road Wed Oct 1st in the evening after Jon got home from school. The plan was to get to Beaver, UT about halfway to Las Vegas, spend the night, then finish the drive in the morning. We got to Beaver a little after 1230am. Zella did really well on the drive there, but then didn't sleep well at the hotel. She woke up with a fever, and acted like she didn't feel well which made for a sleepless rest of the night.

The next morning we finished our drive to Las Vegas. It went well except for the last 45 min Zella was NOT happy:( We stayed in Vegas with my Aunt Maralee & Uncle Lex. Once we got there we unpacked and just relaxed after the sleepless night and long drive.

For Dinner we met up with my Uncle Mitch & Aunt Chris and their Daughters Aly & Kylee. We went to eat at the "Hash House a Go Go" it was signature Twisted Farm Food... The entrees were all huge! So Jon and I shared a corn beef sandwich. I was kicking myself after we left them because I didn't take one picture!! So these are a couple pictures from about a month before when she first met them at my Uncles surprise birthday party.

When we got back from dinner Uncle Lex had his legendary chocolate milkshakes all ready for us!! YUM:) Have I missed those!! The next morning we got up bright & early to go to the Las Vegas Temple while Aunt Maralee watched Zella for us. It was absolutely gorgeous!!! The windows in the Celestial Room cast stars & rainbows all over when the sun shines through... It gave me chills. After we got back we packed up our things and got a last couple games in on the pinball machine before we headed back towards St. George.

Once we got to St. George we had a quick dinner with Jordan & Karlee, and then left Zella in their capable hands and we went off to enjoy "The Little Mermaid" at Tuacahn. It was spectacular!!! Even though Zella shared her cold with me and I had a terrible sore throat I was very happy we got to go.
When we got back Zella had been really good for Jordan & Karlee... She just wouldn't go to bed! So this is how we found her... Seriously cutest picture ever!!!

The next day we watched General Conference. This was Zella's first Conference out of the womb... Looks like she enjoyed it:)

That evening we went to watch Jordan play his football game. We were all decked out in our Dixie State Gear to cheer him on! Zella was especially excited to watch Jordan play, and was really good the whole game only falling asleep for a little while;) We were really happy Jordan got to play most the game, and did really well!!!

Sunday we watched more Conference, and my Great Grandma Newman made us a very yummy lunch!!! We had such a nice time visiting with her, she really enjoyed playing with Zella.

Sunday evening Jordan invited us to go feed the ducks. Zella was very intrigued with them. I just can't get over what a good Uncle Jordan is!!! Zella absolutely loves him:) We also LOVE Karlee!

The next Morning Karlee watched Zella for us so we could do a session in the St. George Temple. Such a beautiful and historic temple! After we had our long drive home to face.

We honestly had the best time! Even though Zella & I got sick:( We are so grateful for everyone that helped with Zella. I would say it was a successful first trip with our little girl!
